Damon daybreak AC switch

I have a 2009 damon daybreak 3578. 36' class a. The AC switches to control the front to rear are in the bedroom.

Both switches are up, I can run both AC UNITS off the generator. On AC power, both up runs the rear. Both down, run the front only.

I don't know what the center off means.

I can't seem to run both off the generator with the switches up.

Any ideas?

Each A/C, at least when starting the compressor, need as much as 15 amps of power. On a 50 amp shore cord, this should be no issue, since you're only pulling @ 30 amps and you have a potential of 100 amps. On your generator, you say you can run both units, so it also has enough power to do the job. I don't know what switches you're talking about, are they on the thermostats or an energy management panel?

There are 2 switches in the rear bedroom that say both switches down run front AC only off shore power. Both up run rear AC only off shore power and both AC off the generator. I think that the 2 AC units take turns running when on generator power.

I have a picture that I'll try to post later

If the switches you're talking about are on a thermostat, I'd suggest looking up the make and model online for a instruction manual. If the switches are on an energy management system, I'd look for a manual for that. As I said, if you have 50 amp service, both AC units should be able to run with lots of amperage to spare.

We have a 2008 3070 with those switches and though we only have the front ac fitted the sticker does indicate both up for genni operation of a/c. Ours are both down for ac power but if I fire up the genni the a/c runs fine without moving the switches, ie have you tried that as the sticker could be wrong. I know if I change the setting at all the a/c wont run.

That's the same switches I have except I have 2 AC units. My switches do toggle front to back AC control.

I stopped at a dealer and they told me that in the one position both AC units are enabled (power applied ), and will only run one of the units at a time.

According to Damon (Thor) you should be able to run both a/cs of the generator and if you have a 50 amp ac service I would have thought that would support both to?
