I never was able to locate the buried fuse. I ended up running a new fused line that fed the AC button on my HVAC controller. It took more time to remove the dash HVAC controller than anything else. It is very busy under the dash..

Update! I finally found the ac clutch fuse on my 2003 Fleetwood Discovery 38U.. It is taped to the wire harness for the hvac behind the dashboard. I was able to spot it by laying on my back next to the pedals and looking toward the passenger side. It is an old glass fuse in a white plastic in line fuse holder. It has approximately 14 gauge blue wires and is taped real tight to the harness. It almost looks like part of the harness. Thanks for the replies.

Yes, I found the fuse last weekend, after toning the wires from the clutch all the way back to the condenser fan relay next to the wiring harness. I could have swore I took a photo of it, but I don't see it.
On the 40G you need to take out the center tray below the backup monitor and radio. It's an inline 10a glass tube fuse.

A/c clutch fuse

I have an 08 Phaeton 36QSHon a Freightliner chassis. Had the dash a/c compressor go out and sent metal all through the lines also. Had to do a liquid flush and then reassemble the system. Carged it up and no clutch power. After about an hour we found the fuse in an unmarked black fuse holder screwed to the wall in the battery compartment next to the clutch relay which is the second to last on the right rear. Changed the 20 amp fuse and the cold air started flowing. Hope this helps someone.

Thanks for posting your location & picture, of the A/C clutch fuse , as you mentioned , hopefully this info will aid another member .
After 11 years owning my coach and finding fuses in 10 locations , I'm not sure I've found them all .
