Dash heat indicator
When I bought my 1998 Allegro Bus (Freightliner chassis) it came with an aftermarket heat gauge which has been working very well. The original dash gauge is "dead" and sits on the extreme right...past the max line.
On my return from Mexico this past winter my alternator failed and I had it replaced. All worked well except that after 10 minutes or so of running a heat indicator comes on and a faint alarm keeps buzzing. The aftermarket gauge shows very good temperature range and I am comfortable with the thought that all is ok temperature wise.
My belief is that the very accommodating Mexican mechanic did something to the wiring that initiated this problem.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
