Dashboard bolts

My '05 Fleetwood Southwind shows signs of loose dashboard bolts. I was told they need to be replaced or the whole dashboard could separate from the frame. The mechanic estimated around $300 for each side. Has anyone heard of this problem or replaced the bolts themselves?
The dashboard vibrates on bumps in the road. I think it might cause electronic issues if not fixed.

yes its a well known problem with fleetwood. Do a search for dancing dash board or fleetwood dash vibration. It is caused by a couple things. Sometimes a couple welds break on the portion of the frame that fleetwood installed, sometimes its just the dash screws. Look in the engine bay from the front access panel and look toward the walls to see if you can see any tubing broken or the actual fiberglass wall separating from the tubing it is attached to. Also check under the dash. There are some posts on the fleetwood owners section of this forum with pictures. I know it is still happening to new units a couple years down the road.
