Sounds like an issue with your converter/charger. It should provide the 12 v. Have you checked to see if the circuit breakers on it are all on? Your battery is hooked to the converter/charger so it can charge it. The 12 v is passed through to the rest of the RV.

Welcome to iRV2.
We could really use more info on your RV.
Make, model, chassis and year.

Also you say the batteries are charged, but you have no 12v power in the RV; no lights , no fridge control; is that correct?
Have you checked the battery disconnect relay?
That's probably what's doing the clicking you hear.
New problem , or new to you RV ?

My 2005 allegro bus has two ways to connect the 12 vdc power one is a mechanical switch in the battery compartment. The other is an electronic switch that is controlled by a push button in with other controls. You might look for the electronic 12 v disconnect button with your controls.

My rig has two 300A Class T fuses between the house batteries and inverter/converter.

Maybe your wiring diagrams will ID any fuses in that wire run.

As Skip said, more information on RV would be helpful in your signature.
Your reference to clicking up front makes me think a front engine Ford or Workhorse chassis. In a Ford I know there is a box, usually on the firewall, that contains fuses and relays. I'd trace down that clicking sound and make sure that relay is properly passing power on when needed. The circuit breakers I mentioned in my first post are the often 'hidden' ones on the side of the converter(inverter)/charger. You should check that 12 v power is making it from house batteries to C(I)/C and through to the DC fuse panel for the house circuits. A multimeter or 12 v test light will tell the tale. In addition, there are sometimes fusible links that can look like a large 12 v cable or other fuses that could have been blown when swapping batteries. You'll need to check all along the circuits until you find the break.

I guess it would be helpful to know what the heck I'm working on!!! Sorry about that !!!
I have an old 88 Pacearrow on a Chevy chassis-- I just picked it up this summer to make the fishing and Hunting trips more comfortable and to start our education on motorhome life. We kind of want to do the "snowbird" thing when we retire!!

If the battery switch you mentioned is what is commonly called the Salesman Switch, used to disconnect the coach batteries, is what causes the clicking sound it is trying to switch the latching relay that disconnects the batteries. The relay may not be working even if it clicks. If you find the relay you could connect the large terminals with heavy wire and see if the power comes on. Unplug from shore power if you try this. Is this a new problem or has not worked since you got it ?
