I agree GregOK80, this model BCC has a history of failure, it was even recalled, look at post #3.

Well, I went to Crestview today to troubleshoot my MH. I ordered a Fluke multi-meter from Amazon, but have not received it yet. So, my son and I removed all three batteries, one 12 volt 750 amp chassis battery, and two 12 volt house batteries that are wired in parallel. Took them to Auto-Zone where they were tested. The chassis battery was a dead short. They said the house batteries were with a extremely low charge, but were OK if recharged. I replaced the chassis battery with a new 850 amp model, and put the discharged house batteries back in, and put them on a battery charger, with the house battery switch turned off. We left for Cracker Barrel, had lunch, and returned 90 minutes later and removed the charger. Obviously, the engine started right up, with the new battery. The generator also started right up, and everything seems to be working OK. Wish I had that multi-meter today where I could have checked for charging voltage. I ended up leaving the house battery on a slow two amp charge, which I will leave on there until I go back and remove it. Right now, the shore power is not hooked up, and both the chassis and house battery switches are turned off. I am not real comfortable that the problem is fixed. I am worried about that BCC. My multi-meter is due to be delivered tomorrow. I will return to the MH Wednesday to remove the battery charger, and will check to see if the house batteries are charging with shore power supplied. The way I was taught to do it on a car is to check the battery voltage with the engine not running. Then to start the engine and check voltage, looking for a 1 to 1 1/2 volt increase. This time, I will apply shore power instead of starting the coach, again looking for a voltage increase. If I don't get the increase, I think I will take it to a repair shop and let them, and my extended warranty deal with the BCC. Will let you know how it turns out.

Well, I went back to Crestview today to remove the battery charger off of the coach batteries. After removing the charger, and leaving the coach batteries isolated with the coach battery switch turned off, the batteries read 13.53 volts. I plugged the coach back up to 120 vac shore power and rechecked the coach battery voltage and it was 13.56 volts. I was glad to see the increase, although I wish I had seen more. However, I believe 13.56 volts is probably appropriate for a charge from the converter. I left the coach plugged in to the 120 vac power, and left the coach battery switch turned on, but left the chassis battery switch in the off position. I'll go back in a week or so and recheck to make sure I don't have dead coach batteries again. If I do, then the unit will be headed to the repair shop where they can take a look at the battery control center. Hopefully, replacing the shorted chassis battery fixed my problem. Will update in a week or so when I go back to recheck it.

Glad to hear everything is working correctly.
13.5 is a good voltage from your converter.
Here is a link to a good battery monitor, it cost about $200 with the shunt and wiring. With it, I can tell exactly how much power is going in or out of my batteries as well as state of charge.

for only $12 this will plug into your cigarette lighter. But will only monitor the battery connected to it., So most likely your chassis battery. Buy two, and purchase a cigarette lighter socket, and wire to the other battery. Two battery monitors cheap. They are only volt meters but for most people it is enough.
