What chassis/ motor combo do you have? You will get more input that way.

Do you have roadside service? You may have to tow it to a shop. Good luck!

Dead on highway

We have a 99 monacco diplomat. We died on highway last nite a couple times we could restart a couple times and drive but at 830 pm last night she wouldnt stay started. Seemed. Battery issue the way she was behaving but brand new fully charged batteries. Brought out a mobile mechanic who went over the batteries(good) grounding(good) thought alternator . Left with someone coming in am to look at alternator. Well he has arrived after a long cold sleep for us on side of highway. Cant seem to find the issue. Will start occassionally then die suddenly all connections look good as does all else any help would be appreciated

Not much info to try to help. You know what's going on but we can't see it from our computer screens. Give some more information and maybe someone with the same engine might have experienced and have a fix for the same problem.

That age, fuel pump would be a thing to check. Check to see if the carburetor is getting gas.

Fuel, spark and compression are required to start. Look at basics first. The mechanic most likely knows this. Wish you a quick resolution... lots of sympathy! I'd look for fuel delivery from what you have stated.

i would suspect either fuel pump or filter. how long had it sat before this trip and how old is the gas.
