Been looking at this thread for a couple days now and I continue to be amazed at how a thread is twisted around.

Great thing about America is everyone is able to convey an opinion. Another great thing is that a person still has the ability to do what he wants with most of his property even though there are those who would disagree. If the OP wants to scrap his RV that is his decision. He isn't hurting anyone; he isn't creating a blight or environmental incident. He might even in his own way be increasing the value of 1989 Bounders that are still out there by making them a little rarer, who knows?

Recycling is the way too go.

The place I used to work at has 7 bldgs, it was me and the boss that got to take care of them and kept them up and running. We remodeled 1 a year and one of them we had to take out all wiring computer/electric all had to come out of the ceiling. It took 2 guys a week to take it all out and they got $5,000 bucks for it. It filled the box of a F150. That would have been nice, we had to hire that out because it took so long.
I can't believe they got that much, Recycling is the way to go.

Gives me something to do ya know? I go to work come home rest go to sleep wake up do it all over again. Trying not to get over excited. Just tear it down slowly. You are right, things tend to get twisted on forums. The encouraging words are appreciated. This weekend im going to take some more pics to show the process. I just dont want it to rot away then be worth nothing. Ya know?

Ripped out rv generator last night. Sold it to my cousin. Its a 6.5 Onan. Wasent to bad, but i didnt have any of the right tools. Bolts were rusty, when you would turn it, it would spin the nut so you had to weasel in there hold the nut with a multitool and try to spin the bolt. Lol. Got it though, its moving along. Next im removing the fridge, gf's sister wants it. Nice fridge.

Travelernewb. Like they say, a new car is worth more in parts than they cost. I need a chrome rear bumper for my "87 PA 34'. Colaw in Missouri wants $500.00 to $600.00 for one. Craigslist is free, but you might have to ship the parts. Part that Baby out, and you'll make more $$$$$. Eddie Elk.

I have a middle age friend named Walt who owns a mature Bounder. He has a lot of fun with the Breaking Bad connection.
