Decommissioning of a 30ft fleetwood bounder
I have an old motorhome sitting in my garage wasting space. Nobody wants it so i made it my duty to tear it down. Take out everything burn the wood, recycle everything recyclable wires, alum siding, frame, all cabinet hinges, alum around windows, motor and trans are in good order. I paid 1,000 for it currently have the fridge sold for $100, generator sold for 200, motor and trans sold for 800, not including the rest of whats recyclable. Going to be a huge project, currently have all cabinets down and anything metal or plastic removed and cabinets are broken down to burnable lengths.

Sure does. "eye roll" Really wish breaking bad would have never been aired. Bc now we get a bunch of people who see an older rv and automatically thing your a P.O.S. because its not worth 250k. The best people ive ever met while enjoying my other rv are people who use rvs that are quote "straight out of breaking bad"[ moderator edit ]

No one thinks you're a POS, nor did anyone say that. This website has lots of posts stating the exact opposite in fact.

I'm a licensed plumber, electrician, & HVAC contractor. I scrap EVERYTHING. I know exactly what you mean about the value of scrap. That's what I use for vacation money every year.

Too bad. From the pic, it doesn't look quite ready for the recycler. If you can do ebay or craigslist, there are alot of bits and pieces you can get money for. You are learning why junk dealers are the hidden millionaires.
As far as people looking down on you for having an older rig - yeah, there are some people on here like that. Most people are pretty superficial. But there are many that don't judge the book by it's cover, so to speak. Best advice is not to be overly sensitive to the comments by the jerks out there. You get to know them, they aren't so bad and vice-versa.
Good luck on your little project!
