DEF issues

Today was the start of a month long trip from Indiana to Maine and the maritimes. Shortly after leaving home the check engine light came on. We pulled over and called Freightliner. Code was 3361FMI7SA61. It cleared after restarting and Freightliner said ok to travel but call if it returned. Sure enough it came back very quickly accompanied by a low DEF warning. We stopped at a truck stop, called Freightliner and they told us gauge may not accurate so add DEF. Added about 1.5 gal and it overflowed so not very low. Second fault 5246FMI15SA61. Freightliner notified and tried to get someone to help us but nobody available on on a Sunday. So sitting near a Freightliner dealer until they open at 7 am Monday. Have a 2914 newmar Essex with Detroit engine and 11000 miles on it.

Please keep us posted as to the outcome. There's very few Detroits out there so my ears perk up when I read about issues with them.
