Deflate Air Bags When Parked???
Hi there - wondering what everyone does when they park their unit. Do you deflate your air bags or not? I have seen people do both. What are pros / cons?

Yes, that way your jacks don't have as. Far to extend to level.

Are you asking about parking or camping on jacks? If parking, your air bags will eventually deflate. Just make sure the mh is on flat surface. The weight of a mh can slightly twist the frame after a few months and can cause windshield problems if not stored flat.

I deflate the air bags when I am camping. It makes the levelers easy to operate. Plus the step down from the last step is shallower. I will also deflate when it's in storage.
As a side note always make sure your steer tires are straight before you dump. Keeps the body from coming down on the tires.

When I engage my leveling system it automatically deflates the air bags to make leveling easier.

Deflate them when you put the jacks down. If you don't it will stretch the bags and cause a weak spot.

If you are talking about storing rather than a short term stop, then yes I always deflate my air bags. As has been said, the auto leveling system will deflate them anyway if you are camping.

I just put new air bags in mine and the manufacturer says to make sure there is always at least 45 lbs. in the bags.

I have done both. And found deflated the bags works best

The big advantage with my rig in dumping the air bags prior to leveling is that it brings the step closer to the ground and more comfortable for entry/exit. I recently started doing this but just have to be careful the front wheels are completely straight or tires could cause body damage. I have air level system only with no jacks but have found dumping air prior to auto level works great.

I leave my MH unused for up to 2 years at a time so I put concrete blocks under each jack to about 1/2 from the jack base and then dump the air. That way the weight is off the tyres, the jacks aren't extended and there is no strain on anything

We never totally deflate the air bags. Sitting stored beside the house I leave the leveling system on.
