Dicor cool coat

Has anyone used this product lately? I want to coat the roof on the allegro bay. Its fiberglass with a roof coating from factory on it. The new dicor reduces heat transfer much better than old coatings

I believe the term "Cool Coat" is one that Dicor uses for its rubber roof coating. We did use the Dicor fiberglass roof coating on our MH and have been satisfied with the way it reduced chalking. We haven't been in enough hot weather yet this year to know if it helps much with that. Here's a link to what you want: https://dicorproducts.com/catalog/ro...-roof-coating/

You might want to check out the Rhino roof coating also. Lifetime warranty and I believe they claim some insulating properties also.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

I went to Home Depot and purchased a 5 gallon bucket of their best elastomeric.

Washed the roof and let dry and then applied 3 coats of the stuff - it has made a big difference even on a 'quality' rig like our Newmar, although the PO had replaced the roof with unfinished aluminum. Cost was around $120

I think there is a post on irv2 about someone going with a "recommended" vendor from Rhino and getting screwed on the warranty when that vendor wasn't "authorized" for that particular product...

Yep, the product is only as good as the company that installs it! I would like to read about that incident if anyone has info on it! Thanks!

Coated my 02 Journey several weeks ago with Dicor Fiberglass Coating. Spent a week in high 90's temperatures. Air conditioner kept coach at mid 70's. I coated the roof to eliminate chalking. It is a very white color and am sure it helps reflect the sun but can't say it has insulating qualities.
