I looked on the Dicor web site but couldn't find a limiting temperature for its use. My coach is currently stored indoors and the temperature is around 45 degrees. Wondering if the sealant will set up in that temperature. It sure would be nice to have my roof set for summer before it even comes outside.

I have used this product at some pretty cool temps. I don't see 45 deg being a problem. IMHO

I think it will cure but don't expect much in the way of "self leveling."

It works at that temp and it still self levels but is slower. I would suggest you warm the Dicor up in your home overnight.

Thanks. It will have a month or so to cure because the coach will remain indoors in storage for that time.

I believe it states on the tube that it can be applied in colder temperatures as long as the tube is at room temperature.

I applied mine when it was around 60F outside. It worked well.

I had the same question as you so I called them. The tech at dicor told me that 40 degrees was the minimum but that the tube should be at room temp. She also said it will cure, but that it'll take longer to cure and won't self level as easy. She also recommended that I warm up the surface a little with a hair dryer.

We just got another cold snap and more snow so I probably need to wait until it warms up a bit. Temperature in the storage facility yesterday was 41 degrees.

45 is fine.. T-Shirt or windbreaker level temps. are fine.. Snow flying,, Not fine.

Not ever having any experience with it I let one tube get to room temperature then applied a few test strips at 60 degrees in the shop four hours ago one strip four rows wide flat and one at a 45 degrees angle, and few single rows flat and 45 degrees.

Four hours later the consistency seems the same as it was when it first came out of the tube, extremely tacky to the touch, some self leveling but no flow to speak of going downhill.

I want to know what's going to happen when I seal my horns and don't want to find out the hard way by having it run down the sides of the roof, worse yet down the windshield when I come back a few hours later because I used self leveling.

Last time I used it was June, and while it does self level over a day or so, it doesn't run that far where it would go down the side of the coach.

Well I'm satisfied 7 hours and it's skinning over if you put a little pressure on it you can see the indent but it's no where near attempts to stick to your finger.

I'll apply it to the bus tomorrow plus it will be warmer higher up by the roof, I won't be turning any additional heat on either I've got time for it to cure.

When I replaced my vent with a fantastic vent, I used the Dicor. On the website it says it takes 48 hours to cure to handling and 30 days to full cure. Obviously the number will shrink or grow with the temps.

You are fine, go for it.
