Dicor turned pink?

I resealed our coach roof in the summer with white dicor. Just noticed this week, it has turned a light pink color. What's with that?

Maybe you have the Barbie RV and didn't know it? I don't know of any reason it would turn pink unless you've got some kind of pollutant or pollen in the area. Dicor is supposed to be formulated to prevent color change or staining. I suggest you call Dicor and ask them, they are pretty good at customer service. 800 837 2059

Ive noticed some pink mold or mildew in our shower in the s&b. Ive even seen it in our bird bath. Seems to clean easy enough at home with standard scrubbing bubbles. Always wondered what the heck it was.

So someone in damp clothing was sitting on the roof eating old, rotten refrigerated food. To see if it's mold, wipe it with some diluted bleach or Scrubbing Bubbles and see if it disappears.

If you read further, its an airborne bacteria that will form on damp surfaces like showers ect. The first part of the article is kind of irrelevant, further down it talks about showers and such. Like I said, Ive seen it in our bird bath. Bleach will kill it.

Hmm, wish I would have closed the thread at "Barbie's RV", now I'll be looking between my toes for the next week.

Worry when your jockeys turn pink!

I read the whole thing, I just thought I'd suggest the first couple of sources cited.

All mine are pink... It's not mold. 'Twas the wife's red Christmas socks hiding in the dark recesses of the washer that did it. Not a bad look though.
