Did Interstate Battery discontinue the 6 volt battery

Went on their website to get some specs on the, interstate battery gc2-xhd-utl

and it says no item found, then when you go to the RV battery section it has the 6volt battery pic, but when you click on it nothing happens.

Anyone know if this battery has been discontinued?

Probably a website issue. Talk to a dealer. Good Luck.

It doesn't much matter. Interstate doesn't manufacture the batteries it sells anyway. There is only a small handful of actual battery makers in the business. Maybe they are changing suppliers.

Last time I installed batteries I installed Deka 6 volt batteries and for about $50. less then what the Interstate U-22 would have cost me. Going on about five years with these batteries now and so far they are doing a good job.

Interstate gets their 6v GC2 batteries from US Battery, but the ones from East Penn are just as good.

It's a website glitch - you can still view the batteries if you search for golf cart instead of RV.

They sell the GC2 Interstate. They're a good battery for the price and Costco is as close to wholesale as you will get. Last time I checked which was a year ago the wholesale price was $81 and I believe Costco was around $85-95 a piece but don't quote me I would imagine they have gone up by now.

"They sell the GC2 Interstate"

Well, yeah, kind-a. You see, Costco has different buyers, for different regions of the country. You'll find Interstate 6V units at one Costco and, generic brands at other Costcos. Not only that but, the warranties for those batteries are different too. The Interstates were a full year replacement and the generic ones were 6 month full and pro-rated for the remaining 6 months. At least this is/was the way it was back when I bought mine from Costco.
But, in any case, no matter which brand 6v your particular Costco has, it's a better deal than any other place you'll pick them up at.

Like was said before, the batterys are made by Johnson Controls or one other. The last ones I bought were from Sam's Club and about $85 after returned old cores. I had also bought Costco when there was one closer at about the same price.

I bought six of the Interstate 6V GC2 at Costco about one year ago for $83.99. Costco sells the GC2-RD 208 AH. The only information Costco has is the GC2 they sell has 107 RC. On the Web page Gary posted you can see the GC2-RD has 107 RC. I have been very happy with the 6V batteries I bought especially the price.

Went to CostCo today...still stocking the Interstate GC2.

We are on our 3rd year with these as house batteries and we have had no issues.

Safe travels

I bought Duracell label. Made by East Penn, AKA Deka. They were GC2, 230 amp hour, and cost $109. They have a cheaper size about $85. They may not be as available on the west side. Batteries plus Bulbs or Sam's Club.
