OK guys, the question that kill, what was the best overall diesel motor on RV DP on the market in the year 1993 to 1999

I would think both Cat and Cummins were the most popular. The 7.2 Cat and the 5.9 Cummins would probably out number the larger 8.3 mechanical Cummins.

5.9 is a bit less $$ than its bigger cousins both in engine and tranny requirements/

In the days of '93 to '99, high horse power wasn't the in thing like today. I would think that the majority of Cummins were the 5.9 as the numbers were made up mainly of the middle to lower end DP's.
