Congratulations. Sounds like a great deal. I was going to suggest Catalina State PArk for a place to settle in and get acclimated to the new rig. We spent a week there after bringing ours home

I copied the 38WDS from the add.
Previous owner said it was 35 ft, add also said 35.

I will check the manuals and do some measuring when I can. I was told some (most) RVs are shorter than advertised.

Some are longer.... Measure to be sure - sales brochure may be online too. Congrats.

Looks like a fun place. We didn't plan on camping until next month. Just got a late start so we stopped at Wikiup and stayed in Oasis campground for night on way home.

Wasn't planned no sheets for the bed even LOL.

Having breakfast here then will break camp and finish the drive home. We have a lot to do yet.

Thanks

Very nice. I flew to Minneapolis/St Paul and took a shuttle to pick mine up at 9:00 pm in Au Clair, Wisconsin. Took it for a short drive (I never drove one before) and headed on down the road. I had never seen the thing in person before- Not the suggested way to do it. I stopped in a WalMart around 12 miles away to "provision", including bedding, and spent the night in the parking lot.

Took off the next morning for a 2 week tour through the Badlands, Black Hills and then down to Tucson. It was a 2,000 mile shake down cruise and I had the time of my life. Picked up wife & dogs and spent a week at Catalina figuring things out. Since then I've been to Austin for the US Formula 1 GP, spent some extended weekends camping in AZ and spent the winter in San Carlos, MX. We'll be driving to Puerto Vallarta in October.

Enjoy yourselves. The fun is just beginning !

I purchased a one owner 1998 Holiday Rambler Endeavor 37' diesel pusher with one large slide, diesel generator, with only 79,000 miles on it. It came with one yr old tires. I put some money into it doing some service work and repairs. Love it. I searched PPL and RVT web sites for a solid year before making a purchase.

Thinking of selling it and moving up to a unit with 2 slides if my health permits. If not, I may have to sell it and buy a park model home someplace.

Very cool.

We made it home safe & Sound. Now to do some shuffling to get it to temporary storage before we hear from the HOA about having it parked in the street by our soon to be vacated house.

Tires look great on this coach but date codes say 07. New tires, fixing the dash AC/heater/defrost, service, ..... We are just beginning. And of course remodeling by DW.
Guess I will have to start a new thread for the work, and progress.

Thanks to everyone for sharing your wisdom, adventures, and well wishes.

Maybe we will meet in a campground somewhere.

I checked online and you do indeed have a 38' coach

I thought it looked a little too long for 35'

I had a 2001 Endeavor and it was great. It was the 8 air bag Roadmaster chassis.350 cummins. Be careful on the 4 bag chassis. The rear trailing arms were subject to cracking. Make sure they have been fixed.

If you have a Freightliner chassis you won't need to worry about cracked or breaking trailing arms. I think it was the 4 air bag roadmaster chassis with that problem. Won't hurt to make sure what your chassis is.

The searching I did said same thing.
Coach has a Frieghtliner badge on the front. So I assumed it is but will double check.

Thanks,
Mike

Jack you are correct it was the 4 bag Roadmaster chassis. Freight liner should not be a problem, it's always been a good chassis. Enjoy the new to you Endeavor

Once again thanks for everyone's help and interest in our purchasing of our motorhome.

I started another thread on the remodeling and prepping for full timing.
http://www.irv2.com/forums/showthrea...errerid=108568

I hope you will continue to help guide us with you input as we do some remodeling and prepare our coach to live in full time.

Thanks,
Mike
