I never had a customer with a propane generator who didn't complain about the trouble of finding propane and the amount the generator used. Every customer I had, said they would never buy another diesel with a propane generator.

I'd think the question really should be constant speed versus inverter genny.

Constant speed genny's are loud and the suck a lot of whatever fuel they happen to burn.

Inverter genny's, like the 8k onan quiet deisel in our knight, are really really quiet most of the time, asd sip the fuel.

Then the problem becomes age though, as most older gennies are constant speed types.
