Diesel Quiet 7500 quits when it rains

We have a generator that runs like a champ except if it rains. If it starts raining the genset will just quite. The code is a generic code - Service Generator. It will start right back up and depending on how hard it is raining may or may not stay running. I'm pretty much at a lose of what could be causing this?

Unplug the remote start/stop harness on the top left corner, facing the generator. If this solves the problem you may have a bad conductor shorting out the stop circuit causing the generator to quit. If not, is water dripping on the generator?

I haven't seen any water on the top of the generator, other than if we run the dash A/C. We don't do that much. I will try unplugging the remote.

This only happens when we are driving. I don't think it has even happened while we are stopped at a red light when its raining.

Most likely, the combustion air intake is "inhaling" road spray and saturating the air filter restricting air flow.

If it were mine, I'd grab the garden hose and start spraying the coach. Start low and work your way up. You'll narrow the problem to a certain area. Then you can do some in depth checking.
