Dinette

Going to take delivery tomorrow of an '08 Bounder 38P. The dinette is only the standard wall mounted table and 2 chairs. DW wants a credenza/buffet setup. Fleetwood wants $5,700 for one (yeah right) . Anyone have a clue where we could acquire one new or used at a more reasonable price?

See what a local cabinet shop can do for you. Lots of room in that $5,700 figure. I once order custom cabinetry from Lowes, they had a cad drawing set up and I created what I wanted. Not sure if they still do.

I made my own buffet/table lots of people do. Here is a thread that might help.

A good trim carpenter that does wall units, shelving, cabinets, etc. could likely handle the job at a reasonable price.

Thanks for the responses. We did check with a local (Mesa, AZ) Rv cabinet maker and they want $2500. So, I think I'll wait until we get home (Mich) in May and make my own

The money you save will pay for your trip home. Happy to share ideas when you get started.

Thanks. Although I'm an experienced RV'er and a DIY guy, no doubt going FT with a different coach I will have plenty of questions.

Here is a picture of our setup after we changed from Dinette to table and chairs. Whole project cost about $500 plus my labor. I bought 2 24" wall cabinets from HD. Table and chairs came from surplus stores in Elkhart.

Table slides out to allow seating for 4+.
Where are you located in MI?
