One thing you might want to consider to insure you are comparing apples to apples, it to make a list of the pecking order of all MHs you are considering. For example, the Journey is second of about six in the Winne line, behind the Tour. The Discovery is in the middle of the Fleetwood line, between the Providence and the Expedition. The Phaeton is third in the Tiffin line of six below the Zepher and the Allegro Bus.

Neither Fleetwood nor Winnie have anything in their lineup that compares to the Zephyr! Cummins 500HP ISM. This is a highend Rig!

The Allergro Bus would compare to the Revolution!

Technically the Revolution is not a "Fleetwood." It is now last in the
American Coach luxury line (made by Fleetwood), below the Herritage, Eagle and Tradition.

I thought the OP referred to USED motorhomes. Revolution would be compared to Allegro Bus for some. Others would disagree like us!

Here are some statistics from when the motor homes were bought.

Discovery cost about 145,000 new. Approx 5,000 of CCCs. Average to a bit above average ratings on reliability, value, and handling from RVCG

Journey almost identical 154,000 when new approx. 4000 lbs CCCs. Must have been a chassis change in mid year as CCC's changed mid year. Ratings from RVCG almost identical to Discovery. IOWs average to a bit above.

Phaeton is right in this range too. Cost about 155,000 new. A higher CCC of 6,000. Ratings from RVCG are about the same as the other two.

All three from existing good makers. So it really boils down to which do you like the best. You CANNOT make this decision from pictures from long distance. At least not if you want to love what you buy. You need to really like the looks inside and out. It has to drive well for you without making you white knuckled. The floor plan needs to work for how you want to use it. If you are trying to avoid going too many places to look, consider going to PPL in houston. They are almost universally recommended and have a very good handle on fair market value.

We just looked like crazy and found a bunch of coaches within 500 miles of us. We did end up going to another State to buy though. I had a great time shopping. And when I narrowed it down a bit I made sure my wife was on board. She saw things and needs I did not. Left to my own devices I would have not done as good a job as the two of us did. Now we love our motor home.

Del,
You are truly a man among men. Thank you for taking your time to look at the rig for someone you don't know! I love this forum and am extremely glad I found it. I've met many good people on this site!
