Do Not Shift Light on

I have a 1998 Newmar Dutchstar with an Alison transmission. I was driving the other day and the "Do Not Shift" light came on the dash. I've never seen that before. The coach stayed in 4th gear and I obviously didn't try to manually shift. I pulled into a parking lot of an RV repair and the light went out. I haven't driven it yet since that happened as the coach was undergoing some maintenance repairs. I'll pick it up Tuesday and the next stop is a mechanic shop.

Any ideas what the cause of the light coming on could be?

Did you get a chance to run through the keypad functions and check for codes?
