Haha Dr4Film, great illustration!! I loved Marty Feldman, LMAO!!
Question for all;
Although small, would a Samsung Tab 3 work as a monitor if I could get the appropriate USB adapter?

There was a question asked the other day that I forgot to answer regarding brightness. In the evening, I just turn the brightness down on the laptop.
Someone asked about your view being blocked. Here is a photo from the headrest of my driver's seat. Obviously, the camera doesn't see as wide of a picture as your eyes. This is a poor photo because it was cloudy and I have a screen in front of the coach when parked at home.
On the left, you can see the laptop with the VMSpc program running. If yo look closely, my TPMS gauge is mounted to the laptop pedestal, just under the laptop. Behind the laptop and down low, I have a dash cam running. You cant see it even without the laptop there.
On the right side you see my backup camera and to the right of that is my radio/GPS. So everything is laid out in a semi circle and has little impact on the view out the windshield, especially with a one piece windshield.

My coach comes with the Axxera system. Would I be able to run the Silver Leif system through it?
And Don you're just about ready to run into a tree... ahhhhhhh! We told you about having too much stuff in your window!

I've been following this thread for ideas since we have been running our VMSpc since the end of 2013 (one can never know enough). When the topic of audible alarms came up, it made me start exploring the idea again. I want audible alarms, but I've always preferred a synthesized voice over my own voice. I did some searching on the 'net, and found a nice, free, very lightweight portable (no installation required) application that will translate text into a WAV file... perfect! Here it is for anyone else interested: Text To WAV - Free download and software reviews - CNET Download.com . I've attached a sample "oil pressure" warning for anyone interested.

I tried the tablet version and Art at Silver leaf told me it wouldn't work.
Hey Dutch Star Don, Could you answer the question as to whether you can clear an alarm without turning everything off and starting over again?

I'm waiting to see this one also... if it is an issue. I'm not in a position to actually test it until the weekend, but there are four settings for the alarm duration; once only, every 15 seconds, every minute, and repeat continuously. My thought is that the alarms should sound for the set duration only while the alarm condition exists. If it turns out that the alarms sounds until manually shutting off, or resetting VMSpc, the audible alarms will not be worth the trouble for me.

Where is the setting for duration? It would be nice to set the overspeed as a once only and oil pressure as continuously.

Bill....sorry, I can't answer your question. I've never had that issue. On my previous coach, I had set my Allison temperature alarm for 225 degrees which I thought was appropriate. On a trip one summer in 105 degree weather, towing my truck and driving up and down hills through a small town, my Allison started alarming. Once I picked up speed the temp went down and the alarm went off. I later learned that Allison is good to 245 degrees, so I changed the limit.
You may have to call Silverleaf for the answer.

I use v3.1b3... with that said: Advanced > Audible Alarms > Add. Once there, you will see where you select the desired gauge, set the alarm value, the high (over) or low (under) choice, the duration of the alarm, and finally, the WAV file you want the alarm to play.

Thanks Don! This is what I was hoping for and expecting... once the problem subsides, the alarm ceases.

Too Funny, got it today, and it shipped directly from Silverleaf in Albany Oregon. So much for worrying about it being something different.

Cool, good to know. I like RV Upgrades, just ordered some stuff myself. Their prices beat most as far as I've searched.
