Do You Watch TV in Bed?
I'm going to be replacing our front TV with a new flat screen LED as well as installing a new Blu-Ray player. I'm considering just pulling out the rear TV and using the cabinet for storage because we never watch TV in bed. I'm concerned about resale someday so do you think that would be a mistake? It is an analog with no converter so once I do the work up front, it isn't going to work anyway except with the old VCR/DVD player which I'll leave in if I keep the rear TV. Thanks for any input.

Yes, we use the rear TV. I would suggest to just leave it as is.

We do all the time. There's times we don't agree on what to watch so we like having 2 TV's.

Well my wife would not consider a MH without a bedroom TV. I expect there are other as well, but who knows how many. So that is our input.

The only time the bedroom TV gets used is once in a while on the road. Once parked we always find something else to do in the bedroom  ... sleep being the primary activity, sheesh.

Pull it. The storage will be more valuable than a second tv. Bedroom is used for very few things, and none of them are enhanced by a tv.

It really doesn't represent that much additional storage w/o the TV, and you can inexpensively add a digital converter. But, it's your coach and if your going to keep it for a while you should do what you want. The next owner (or you) can simply covert it back when you sell. Personally, we enjoy morning coffee in bed with the network or local news

Bedroom tv has it's own 211k - wouldn't have it any other way. Sometimes we get something going on Dish in living area and just feel like finishing it in bed. Have a long - bed width pillow for back support. Its become an extension of the headboard - or we toss it on the dresser at foot of bed. Sometimes we want to watch different things.
But if TV isn't your thing - dump it as others have said.

That's the best advice.
Personally, I hate TV in a bedroom. Bedroom is for bed activities, not watching TV.

I usually always watch the bedroom TV before falling asleep. Last night I must have been really tired because I woke up at 3:30 AM and the TV was still on.  Oops!
In my opinion if the bedroom TV was missing then the resale price of the rig would be decreased as a new TV would have to be factored into the total cost to purchase that RV.

We have a bedroom LCD TV, but we don't watch the bedroom TV.
My view is that removing an Analog TV and modifying the space shouldn't effect resale too much - sounds like the old TV is really only a DVD display monitor - a Laptop can do that. Besides, who knows what nifty plug and play tech items will available in a couple years.
So, I say do what you want and don't be concerned about resale.
Or be real creative - pull the TV and make a frame where a hinged LCD is the cabinet door.

Pull it.. .use the storage space. When you sell, give a concession if the lack of a TV in the bedroom is a deal breaker. That way new owner can buy the latest and greatest!

I changed my bedroom 13" analog TV to a 19" LCD HD TV with a DirecTV DVR receiver. I usually watch TV for a hour and then turn it off, then or a couple hours later when I wake up.
What you do with yours is your choice. As I don't really care. I won't be buying it when you get rid of it. With or without a bedroom TV.
I only have 5 TV's in my MH plus a OTA TV tuner in the desktop PC.
Ask me if I watch any TV.
