I will give you a complex answer

Popups.. Far as I know AAA will cover the tow vehicle, and the driver may leave the trailer attached, or not

Bigger trailers, Generally only the tow vehicle You will have to go back for the trailer

And out of fuel, they may cover most anything (no tow needed)

Big RV's. it depends on the state, Some do, Some don't Some CHA-CHING you.

In my case Nationwide (Auto insurance) paid for the Motor home tow but I had to pay up front.. Had my check in like 3 days.

Speaking from (bad) experience, I learned a few things that may be of help...
ALL these companies simply contact the various service providers they contract with, and then those providers dispatch a truck to your location. When I needed them, they all either at the time or later confessed to having a predetermined rate for towing various vehicles that the contracted provider must not charge them more for...hence sometimes the provider puts your tow at the bottom of the waiting list because another company is paying them more to do a similar tow at the same time.
This predetermined towing charge can be a problem if you have a big diesel pusher longer than forty feet or taller than twelve feet - not all providers even have the rig to do the towing with, and sometimes they will contract with another tow provider to do your two - provided they can break even or make money.
Ultimately what I learned was that Freightliner provides towing for in-warranty chassis and they do NOT contract with providers for a predetermined charge - the provider they send out they have used before and know that that provider will charge what it fairly takes to do the tow...so this means no cutting corners, and no being put at the bottom of the list, and no haggling between company and provider over what to charge resulting in delays.
Needless to say, I cancelled my AAA RV service (although I love their other services and continue to use them for insurance and car service), and I don't even bother to call the other companies I've had so-called service provided by as a condition of a purchase of a new coach.
