Been there-done that, we used a 3rd party rental company Goss RV, nice people BUT I would never do it again. Our MH always came back damaged or items (sewer cap) missing Goss was good about repairing damage however the inconvenience wasn't worth it. The only money we made was on our tax return due to the loss of income ......we owned & rented thru our LLC.

I would only rent to people I know and trust

no way would I trust some yahoooo from Craigslist or another method of finding people to rent. They just don't care especially on a expensive rig.... I do agree you can make money but you can also loose your a$$

Does any Class A Diesel owner have experience renting their unit?

Right there is the key statement that separates the two camps on this issue.

We bought our coach to GET AWAY FROM BUSINESS, not start a new one. For us, our coach IS our second home, in every sense of the word. We've made great memories with our grandkids in this coach, just as we have in our sticks-n-bricks home. We've enjoyed our own memorable experiences in this coach, too. We don't want or need the money renting would represent.

I hope your RV rental business continues to be a success, but no "business" for me, thanks.
