Does anyone know, Are the New Motorhome #'s Rebounding?

I think it was 2008 when we saw a number of Motorhome Mfg either close the doors or merge with another builder.

We noticed that it was also a time when many dealerships that carried Motorhomes dropped them and instead filled those spaces with more 5th wheels and the 5ver market was the thing people were asking for.

Here it is almost 10 years later, Have you noticed any rebound in the #'s of new Motorhomes being built? Seems to me there is a much bigger market in Gas VS Diesel. Just my observation. Of the local dealerships around here that carried Motorhomes, none of them have really gotten back into the Diesel Market but one of them have some gassers now.

We watch those RV shows on TV and they always have buyers in the market for a variety RV's. Seems to be a lot of interest in the DP's but then who knows that is television...

Sales of MH's have rebounded dramatically in the past few years, although some brands did not survive the financial crisis shakeout. Go to wredmans post to my recent thread to get a link to a recent report. Also see Greg Gerber's RV Daily Report.

Forgot to mention: Your eyes are not deceiving you that you are noticing more gas MH's than diesel. They are more affordable, usually under 40', and are less "intimidating" from an operating & maintenance standpoint than diesel. There are more first time buyers out there now whose need profile meets the above criteria. If you are a weekend warrior plus a one or two annual weekly vacation buyer, a diesel is probably overkill. If you are going to be on the road for a couple of months traveling several thousand miles with your MH, a diesel has the advantage.

I have a 2 page pdf showing RV sales by category (TT's, 5er's, etc). For Class A MH's it shows roughly a doubling of sales since the 2008 financial crisis. Now I just have to figure out how to attach the pdf file to a post. Links I know how to do, so let's see if I can do this.
