yes, It is the battery disconnect switch.
DO you have the same problem with the electrical cable hooked up to external power.? Reason I ask is that our daughters electrical cable has to be plugged into a receptacle where they store the cable.

At this stage with all of the poking about you have probably blown one or more fuses.

If you do not take voltage measurements you are just wasting your time and may cause more issues.

Checking a solenoid is incredibly simple with a voltmeter.

Takes some voltage measurements and post a picture with the readings.
