Does anyone know of a good ladder rack for motorhome
I thought I would like to carry my 6' ladder from home and attach it to my motor home ladder and leave the motor home ladder extension in my garage. Can someone tell me of a good rack that can be ordered on line. I have seen some sort of rack that other campers have installed, but did not ask or look at them close. Any advise appreciated.

I just bought a pair of those padded tubular ladder racks from the BORG, attached it to my ladder with SS screws and nuts and use one black bungee to hold it down to a lower rung on the ladder. Fast and cheap. I have a 11.5' Gorilla telescoping/folding ladders also from the BORG at less than $100. Same as a Little Giant, but 30% of the cost. Werner brand at Lowes at the same price. More versatle than the telescoping-only ladders as they also make up as a step ladder.
Last year a newbie in the campground didn't secure his awning properly and it ended up on top of his RV after a wind gust blew through. He didn't have a clue what to do or any equipment to tackle the problem. He just called the mobile repair service. I walked over with my ladder, extended it fully to reach the top of the RV and was able to flip it down and showed him he didn't have any severe damage, just needed a few brackets. By the time the repair service arrived, everything was under control. Next day I look over and he is hauling out a brand new Werner compact ladder just like mine.

I know a lot of RV'rs do this, but, hanging a ladder on the back of your MH is really tacky (Beverly Hillbillies). I once owned a MH that had a removable extension at ground level. I took it off, stored it and used a 3' step ladder instead. Also available is a 7' ladder that can be collapsed into about 7' long and 6" square, easily stored in one of the bays.

Not only that, but if you put a ladder on the back of your RV, where are you going to hang your Blue Boy?

I have a rear compartment which is the full width of my MH. I could put a ladder in that compartment. Even a small extension ladder would fit. Just a thought.
You could also, for less money buy a collapsible ladder. A medium sized one opens from 2.5 feet to 12.5 feet for about $150. I think Home Depot sells them too.

Target sells a 10.5 footer with a nice cover/case.
