SarahM...
First of all... welcome to IRV2!! You will find everyone here willing to help whenever they can.
I am giving you a link to 1996 Winnebagos that will probably tell you all you want to know. On pg 10 of the 16 page "brochure" is where you will find all your heights! (just shy of 11')

Enjoy your new Brave and Congrats !

May I suggest that your husband climb up there with a long board. The board is to place on the highest item on the roof, probably the AC. The length needed is such that one end is beyond the edge of the coach. A tape measure from that point to the ground will give you an accurate measure.

Get a tape measure. One of you hold one end on the ground, the other can climb up the back ladder and line it up with the highest point on your RV. You can use a level and a small 1x2 (light that way) and get a measurement. Add a couple of inch for safety and you're good to go. I would not trust what a broshure says, because I suspect they are only nominal anyway. Mine was about 5 in shorter than what the manual said it was.
