Domestic NDR1292 blows 5A fuse.

2 boiler heaters in series read 17Ω. Can we replace the 2 series heaters with one 325W heater?

I've never heard of two fridge heating elements being wired in series! They are in parallel on my Norcold 1200.

One point on circuit board supplies 120V AC Power and is one point on circuit board is for Neutral ..........but the two heater elements are wired in parallel

Each element is 120V 210W
Both have to function for AC Heating to occur

Both need to be replaced as pair

DOMETIC 173758038 is part number for one 210W heater element

Our Dometic Owner's Manual shows two heaters connected in parallel (part number 17 37 58-03/8). Our failed heaters are part number 3850644471, two heaters connected in series. We are considering replacing the failed 3850644471 with two 17 37 58-03/8 as shown in the manual. Can anyone tell us why we should not? Can anyone explain why our wiring does not agree with our manual?

We replaced our series-wired heaters with parallel-wired 210W heaters as shown in the manual. All is well, so far. Thanks to all who contributed.

before i replaced our ndr1292 with a residential, i torn apart the heating unit later sold the control board and the heating elements. yes, two of them in series 210w each. in my case they were in set, you could not re-connect it in parallel. you can find many new or used on ebay.

Are you the original owner of the RV?
If RV was 'used' then previous owner/tech replaced heaters with ones of same wattage but wired them incorrectly.

If you are original owner then did you have heaters replaced at one time?
Right wattage wrong connections
