If you still have the new gasket materials, can you post the thickness and width of it? The ones I have on the roof now are so squished down, its difficult to really figure out what the dimensions are/were when new. I'm reluctant to get something from Lowes/HD when I don't know exactly what size.

If I remember correctly mine were about an inch thick by about 3/4 or more wide. As long as they are taller than your "squished down" old one then I think you would be good to go.

The new ones are 1" wide x 1-1/4" Thick

If you just have cracking problems just take it off turn it upside down and put in two layers of fiberglass and resin. I've even used the same method to fix missing cover pieces.

I did that 2 years ago. They were cracking around the lip where the screws go. You have to be careful because when you fiberglass that area, it's difficult to get the shroud back on the metal rim because of the additional fiberglass.
