Dometic Roof AC
My front roof air by dometic will not turn off. In other words, the compressor keeps running when I turn the temp Higher or when I turn the unit to off from the Thermostat. The fan turns off but the compressor keeps running for maybe ten min and then shuts down, but starts again in a few minuets and repeats the cycle. The only way to turn the unit off is to turn off the breaker. A shop looked at it and said I needed a new board, does that sound right or maybe some thing much simpler? It is a Dometic Duro therm roof air only with a duro therm thermostat that controls both the front AC and propane Heater. This is on a 2000 Sea View class A. The air does blow cold, so the compressor must be good.
Thanks for the help in advance

You need to get the number off the control box in the ceiling, post it and we'll try to find one at a good price

I have a 2002 Mountain Aire with two Dometic Duo-Therm AC/HP units, and the front unit does not work. It is a Model 59136.331 operated by a 5-Button Controller. Can you tell me where you bought your Roof Top Unit and what you had to pay?
Thanks, Naed

John, I think the number shown in your pic is for the complete Electric Kit. You can replace that but it is expensive and labor intensive because it's not plug and play. You have to cut several wires and reconnect them. Inside this metal box is the Control Board. That is easier and cheaper to replace, just unplug, remove and plug everything back into the new new Control Board. The Control board will have a different P/N than that shown. You have to remove the screws on the box and remove the cover to see the P?N on the Board........or call Dometic tech support and get it. Rook
