door awning continued

I have managed to get the awning out and greased all parts. Tough going, as it would go a short ways and stop. After getting it all the way out, I greased all parts. Then retracted it. Same thing, go a short ways and stop. eventually got it back in and let it back out again still start and stop. Greased some more and put back in. Start and stop. Left it in this time for fear it would get stuck out and not be able to get in. Sounds like the motor is working fine. Just keeps stopping. Any advice?????????????

A circuit breaker on the control panel could be tripping out. What voltage do you have at the motor when in operation?

May be a dead spot on the motor or a gear problem.

I have checked the voltage. It is fine. I can let it out and it stops. Wait a minute and it will go a little further. Just keeps stopping but starts back after a short wait.
