Wow that would be the 53rd week of 2068. On the upside you won't have to replace them until 2075.

Have no idea, have to assume thats not the date code.

Sailun S637 would be manufacturer and that specific tire model. 255/70 is the size of the tire. 22.5 is the wheel diameter.

What is "Sailun" ?
There is no 53rd week of 1968 ?
If you can stump the Irv2 group, that is a rare event indeed.

Not only is there no 53rd week but before 2000 DOT codes were only 3 digits. Still say it's not the DOT, perhaps it's the manufacture's code/identifier

What you have listed is NOT the DATE code for that tire.

It is the DOT code.

53 stands for Sailun CO LTD.

68 stands for Plant #68.

Tire Codes 01-0P

Here's a web site that explains all of the information listed AFTER the DOT on your tires.

Reading Tire Information From Your Sidewall | Michelin Tires

The DATE code will look like this photo.

That really is all there is on the tire, just below the model of the tire. I checked!

It's a China import.

Try looking on the other side.

All tires sold in the USA require identification no matter what country they were manufactured in.

This is a DOT and NHTSA requirement.
