DP Pretrip Inspection Video??
Anyone know of any pre trip inspection videos that show all the stuff you are supposed to check over before you drive your dp coach? I'm just trying to do some research and get a feel for things WAY ahead of time.
Thanks!

I don't know why folks make such a fuss over a dp. Like every other rv, check the tires and pressure, oil level, critters in the engine compartment, drain the fuel water separator (only on dp's), etc. If the maintenance is correctly done on ANY coach it should be road worthy and ready when required to move. Even parked we need to keep a vigilant eye open. Muddobbers, spiders, mice, moths... These can often be headaches in the making. A properly maintained dp is not much different than a properly maintained gasser. Now, for ride and road comfort? DP all the way in my opinion.

Not making a fuss seeing as how we've never had an rv and it's part of the non commercial license requirement, I was hoping to see it in a video form that I could watch a few times. They are asking for specifics like belts, hoses, fluids etc and since my little head hasn't been inside of a diesel engine before thought it might be wise to educate myself! I'm an odd girl like that.

I totally get it.
All of the videos on you tube about various subjects really helped me short cut past a lot of issues that you didn't know where in the making!
found this very useful too

Watched that whole series on Sunday and contacted them about going down to take the class. Figure it's a good way to get hands on experience and maybe get a lot more knowledge about all this Class A stuff.

Might be a good idea. After watching the driving videos, it was super easy to figure out driving situations after that.
You might update your signature to let us in on what you own

As soon as we buy it
We picked Newmar and our floorplan now we are farming for the best deal and hope to place the order no later than Christmas. With the ultimate hope of factory delivery next Spring.
Of course all of that hinges on getting licensed

I know some states are now requiring special RV licenses but not all and even that is subject to the weight of your RV coach. I am registered in SD and they require nothing special but you car drivers license. I have no vehicle inspections and own no physical property. I visit from time to time and stay at a campground or work at a camp for a month. 24 hrs is all that is required to validate residency.
