DP Start-up after Storage
I stored my National TropiCal (350 Cat Turbo)down in Myrtle Beach, SC on November 8th, and will be getting back on the road on December 30, heading South. I have a little over half a tank of Diesel Fuel in the tank. Should I be adding some sort of additive to the tank when I fill it up ? Or, is there anything else I should do before I start it since it will be close to 2 months since it's been started ?

Just turn the key. If you really want to be careful, you could add a treatment of algaecide, but I doubt if it's really needed, just sort of a 'belts and suspenders' type thing. Be sure to check brakes for full function and drive it gently for the first 10 miles or so. It should be fine.

I recommend that you fill prior to storage to reduce opportunity for condensation. Not a fan of additives, but most will not damage the engine.

Really, 2 months is nothing. If it was running properly when you parked it and batteries are up to starting it just think of it as a week in the RV park, and do the normal walk around, fluid checks, tire pressures, etc. and off you go.

Always good to take it slow for the first 20 minutes or so. It allows all moving parts in the powertrain and suspension some time to work easy. Sort of like going slow when you first get out of bed, or doing warm-ups before exercising.

Two months is like overnight.
If it were two YEARS, it would probably still start right up, with no problems.
By the time you get to a high speed highway, all oils and grease will have been distributed, only the temp will need watching so I would not run high rpm in gear till the operating temp was in operating range.
Do not just let it idle, ever!
