Drive the MH all winter long

Get a set of winter blades for your WS wipers or heated WS wiper blades. Add alcohol to WS washer fluid or air brake antifreeze to WS washer fluid. Weigh coach so the corners are correct.. A MH presents a large sail to the wind with relatively low weight so keep the coach heavy. Store heavy items low so as not to raise center of gravity. Mud and Snow tires are OK as are studded tires. Test your defroster so you can get a lot of heat in a hurry on the inside of the WS.
Drive with large separation. Drive well below speed limit by 30%. Do not use brakes much. When starting out stab brakes at low speed to assess road conditions. Snow alone is no big deal unless it is over ice. No sudden moves. No Cruise control. Never drive in windy conditions over ice. MH's are not built for application of chains. It can be done but is a real pain. Chains frequently come loose and can lodge between the duals or fly off and damage the side of your coach. It is time to park and enjoy if every body else is putting on chains.
Most of all take it easy and forget your schedule.

Before we became full-timers, we spent our life in Maine. I'd also keep all the fuel tanks as full as possible. If you get stuck or stranded for a night, it can really help to have heat and power. Thanks for the solid advice.
