driver door step

Hello out there!

We have a 1988 Georgie Boy CruiseAir III with a driver side door. The horseshoe shaped inset step fell out on one of our first trips.

Does anyone know where we can get a replacement for this? Have searched all over the web with no luck.

Glad you're aboard. Could check with a welding/metal fabrication shop to see if they can make one up for you. Otherwise have you checked with any RV salvage yards? Enter that in the google search box on the tool bar above and leave it set to IRV2. I know there are a few threads about RV salvage yards. Some fairly recently. Best of luck in finding a resolve to your missing step. Enjoy your adventures and be safe.

Welcome to IRV2.

That step insert was common on several Georgie Boy models, including my 1990 CruiseMaster. That may increase your options at a salvage yard. It may be hard to remove intact.
If this is the same step you may be able to show the salvage yard what you need... Good luck..

Maybe something like this would be easier to find.

Recessed Step - 7-3/8 | AW Direct

Thanks everyone for your replies and suggestions. I found a salvage place where I could see the step I need, hubby will call this week. Also checked out the link posted by JohnRR, might be a viable alternative. Right now, the hole is covered with moisture barrier silver cardboard and silver metal A/C duct tape. Not the best, but keeps water out..
