Cool Driver's Rear View Mirror Issues

Anyone ever loose their driver's side rear view mirror driving down the road? Well, it happened to us today! By the time it came loose it was flying off the RV... GEEZ! ...Now that we have investigated it turns out the mirror was not mounted to anything solid and shook its way free. This is on a 2015 Coachmen Encounter by River Forest, 50th Anniversary only 2,000 miles on the unit. This should not have happened!
1.) We are having issue locating the Chrome back mirror with Black facing and Black arm mount.
2.)We need to replace it and was wondering how any one of you remounted it properly.

Any help, suggestions, etc... is greatly appreciated!

You should contact the selling dealer, and explain the problem. The dealer should contact the manufacture to get the problem solved. Sounds like some reinforcement was not installed for the mirror, or the mirror was not installed in the correct position.

Just had the passenger mirror nearly fall off on freeway.
Found 3 loose Allen screws. Tightened and got back on the road.
Drivers side 1 of 3 found loose at destination

See if you can find a set of mirrors here:

RV, Truck and Commercial Vehicle Mirrors, Parts and Components | Velvac+

I would think this would be a warranty claim item to your mfg.

If you have to eat the cost, hopefully you can find one that matches....but I'd mount the new one better, and remount stronger the one that hasn't come off yet.

If you can't find a match, and the mfg won't sell you a matching one at a decent price, replace them both.

Passenger side Mirror

Our passenger side mirror fell off. Rear screws went back in the frame. Front screws were not mounted into anything but fiberglass. Used a one inch piece of flat steel, drilled two holes & mounted the two bolts thru it with self-locking nuts. That was about two thousand miles ago.
