Drivers seat Inop.

2004 allegro bus - drivers seat wiring pulled loose. After reconnected wiring the seat still not operating. Found fuse for seat power replaced fuse still no power to seat. Any suggestions to try next ? Changed fuses for passenger seat to drivers seat but no power to driver.

Do you have the ability to put a power meter on the connections to verify if you have voltage going to the seat motor? Have you double checked to see if the replacement fuse has blown?

Welcome to IRV2 and let us know.

BTW...it is very easy to blow the seat fuse if you are trying to fix your wiring while the fuse is installed. Even the slightest spark from grounding out the positive input will blow it. Don't ask me how I know that.

Sky Boss, Thank you for your input. I did put a meter on both fuse connection & wiring from floor to seat. I bought 4 fuses just in case I did blow the first one. I know that the fuse going to passenger seat is good because that seat works. When I moved that fuse to the drivers seat, still seat is inop. I just did not think I had to be a brain surgeon to fix this problem.

MY guess is that you have pulled a connection loose while rotating the seat.

Yes, I've done that.

We have also broken the connection (don't ask how). It was not evident when just looking at it. Close inspection revealed the crack. Repairs made and seat worked again😛
