Charlie, my DS is steady and stable in just about everything I've driven so far. Once I was driving for a few hours, and when we stopped for a break I was surprised at how windy it was when I stepped outside. There have been a few times I could feel the wind gusts, but nothing worth writing home about. The only time we deferred due to wind it was strong and gusty and also included some fair rain squalls. We were parked at the time on a very nice lakeshore in Iowa, so I figure we came out ahead on that day.

My last motorhome was a 30' class A winnebago with a P-30 chassis. Driving with wind was terrible and passing large trucks was scary!
I installed new shocks, bushings, airbags, and got an alignment. It was much better after. It will never drive like a semi truck, but it can be greatly improved. If you change out the airbags, pm me, I have some tips

"Bloodyhell".....There is a product called "TruCenter". It's an adjustable steering stabilizer. When being pushed by wind, not gusts, you can electronically adjust the TruCenter so that it holds your steering wheel against the wind or road crown. When the wind changes, a quick push of the button and the steering adjusts.
The TruCenter was one of the best products I purchased for my previous coach. They're about $1100.00. My new coach came with an automatic version of this system, called "Comfort Steer". It's a patented product used by only Newmar and Newell.

I added a Safe T Plus steering stabilizer to our 40' Tiffin, mostly to help in case of blowouts. Go to their web site and look at video's. The added bonus is that with winds or when another large vehicle bus or semi passes me, the sway is gone, I don't know that a semi has passed unless I look out and see it. Instead of driving with two hands holding on I now have two fingers on the wheel and a much more relaxed drive experience.
