drop down 42 in plasma TV

My drop down TV mechanism makes grinding sound and does not work.
How do I find and replace the motor or mechanism?

Hi Tim,

Welcome to the forums.

You'll likely need to supply the vehicle type (Motorhome, Travel Trailer, etc.), make, model, year, and location of the TV in your unit in order to get a meaningful response.

Otherwise the responses you get will be all over the place.

Twice the distance from the center to one end.

OP - your best bet is to take the assembly apart and look at the motor/mechanism manufacturer information. It may be easy to rebuild or replace - or even upgrade.

EDIT: Also, while you're at it, replace the outdated, heat-ridden and heavy plasma with a newer LED TV. Our Sony's weight next to nothing.
