Duo Therm, comfort zone thermostat issues

The Duo therm thermostat display in our 09 Newmar will not stay lighted nor will any of the functions work. Light come on and functions can be set but nothing happens then display goes dark. This is a dual zone with 2 a/c and furnace. The wiring connection comes in thru a phone type plug. They both ran couple months ago while supplying load for genny run. Yesterday neither unit will start on genny or shore power. Any suggestions appreciated. Checked power to swtich box and 120 available. Reset breakers. Thanks in advance.

I might suggest posting this in the Newmar forum.
There are some really smart folks there about Newmars and I don't know if they venture out much.

Hope that helps!

Try these two things:

1. Look under each roof unit (from inside) for the telephone plug connector boxes and clean the contacts. I had to replace my boxes because some condensation water had corroded the contacts. The control will not light up or work if these ceiling contacts are bad.

a. Turn the ON/OFF switch to “OFF” position.
b. Simultaneously depress and hold the MODE and ZONE
push-buttons while turning the ON/OFF switch to “ON”.
FF should appear in the LCD display until the MODE
and ZONE push-buttons are released.

#1 fixed mine then I did # 2 but you can try them in any order.

Thanks Ron for the info. After the post next morn went out to find all working quite well. Will try your suggestion on cleaning contacts just incase the problem is related. Sorry for delay in responding as i'm involved with Disaster Relief here in Louisiana and the last few days have been hectic to say the least. Thanks again
