That sounds much better. 7-8 on highway at 65 would be great as you would get 600 mile range with 100 gallon tank. I would only travel about 400 miles per day max most of the time, but the range would be great for Canada/Alaska trip for safety.

Vantana LE is Newmar's entry level DP with all the inherent problems associated with a coach built for the entry level market. You might also want to check the weight ratings on the LE, this has been discussed before on this forum.

A gently used Dutch Star will give you better quality throughout at a price point close to a new LE. I hope to find one myself.

Gee, I wonder what all those inherent problems I'm supposed to have?

When we bought our coach we looked at a Ventana the DS and one year older but still new Mountain Aire. All 3 had their +/-. I like that the Ventana had a ladder. I liked that the Mountain Aire had Silverleaf and Air leveling and 500 HP ISX. But for DW the DS had the very dark cabinets/dark floor and black furniture, It has the Nova awnings and heated floors and numerous options. At first I did not like the Nova awnings thought they where flimsy but have accepted them. I was used to the type (from toyhauler) where I could roll out add an extension shade and tie-off gently to ground. Drove all 3 in one day and they all drove very similar. So after leaving and talking she one me over on the DS. We are in our 40's and still work so mostly travel local and on flat ground. When I retire my dream is to do longer trips and out west, maybe at that time, I will get my way for the ISX-12 or ISX-15 motor.
