I am considering purchasing a long term extended warranty from Easycare and wondering if anyone has strong feelings about them one way or another? thanks

I've always purchased an extended warranty with my RV's and have always been disappointed. Why do I buy then? Because I still believe the odds are someday I won't have it and something really bad will happen. Just read ALL the fine print. Know what is and is not covered like you know the back of your hand. Be aware of under what circumstance an item might not be covered (they use this one a lot). And if you can afford it, get the lowest deductible you can. Always keeping in mind, if you blow a radiator because of a stuck or non functioning thermostat, the radiator is NOT covered (the thermostat is ).

Here is a strong feeling about Easy Care. I purchased it when my MH was new and learned too late about the terms. Easy Care has an "inclusive" policy that specifies what it includes. When you go to collect then they let you know what their words really mean. Here is an example. They cover gauges. Great, one of my air pressure gauges became erratic. I took it in for a repair and the problem was the computer which provides the signal to the gauge so Easy Care didn't cover it. The other way to write a policy is to use the "exclusive" method that specifies what it doesn't cover. It is much more clear.

You had the wisdom to ask before you buy so by all means take this advice and save $3,000 unlike me.

I have the Easy Care Total Care. Their lower priced policy has many exclusions. Total Care isn't cheap, but it's in line with most. The difference in GS and Easy Care is if you have a part fail and the replacement is $200 and not made or obsolite, GS just pays the $200 towards a new replacement(Refer-Turbo-whatever) Easy Care replaces the unit with upgrade. You have to look them over carefully. Your betting against each other. What's nice is when somethings wrong, throw the keys to the repair shop and call me when it's done. Just cost's the deductible.

I saw a similar thread a day or so ago....My policy not only has exclusion, but also inclusions....in other words, if the item that needs replacing isn't listed, it's not covered.
