EezTire O-Ring Stuck in Valve of Tire

I went to check/fill my tires this morning as part of my monthly maintenance and I could not get a pressure reading on a tire. After closer inspection I noticed that the O-ring that sits inside the TPMS sensor was stuck inside the valve of the tire. It took me quite a while using two paper clips to remove the O-ring.

Now I'm hesitant to put another O-ring inside the sensor. Instead I put a healthy amount of anti-seize on the outside of the valve and screwed the sensor back on without the O-ring.

I checked the TPMS monitor and the sensor registered just fine, but I'm wondering if I really need to add another O-ring, as well as has anyone else using the EezTire sensors had this happen to them?

Doing it your way thread sealant would be a better choice than anti seize IMO.

I have no experience with your brand however I have seen some valve stems with chamfered ends making it difficult to seal an extension or sensor.

I think you should ask the TPMS manufacturer.

Threads alone won't seal the sensor to the valve stem, that's why the O ring is there......never-seize is recommended...
