The trailer co said I need a 7 wire round connector on the motor home. No problem with getting and attaching that to M/H bumper. The attached picture shows what I have at the rear of the M/H. A 6 wire female flat fitting that is not used and hanging next to a 6 wire flat fitting that is plugged in.
1. Is the adaptor from 6 wire flat to 7 wire round a Ford item only?
2. Do I use the free hanging flat 6 wire? In Pic.
3. Do I unplug the other 6 wire flat and use that one.

The 20ft trailer has a battery (to be charge) for the break away system. Plus There will have to be a brake controller in the cab. All thru a 7wire round plug in. For a 2006 Daybreak F-53. Thanks

No idea what you really have without probing it or looking it up. I can tell you a 7 pin has spare pins plus what you need so it may all be there. All things considered I would pay somebody that knows what it there to install the 7 pin. I would also use one of the 4 pin/7 pin dual sockets in case I wanted to pull a utility trailer other times.

6 pin flat connector is not very common not sure I have even seen one. I am not sure that the connector you are looking at does not have another purpose. It is easy enough to get a Multimeter and turn on the headlights and see if you can find a pin that will go on and off with the headlight switch. If you find one then try the turn signals and see if you see one that flashes 12v.

One of the problems a lot of MH have is signal lights. Most trailers use the Stop light as a turn signal light. A lot of the motor homes have separate turn signal lights from stop lights. There is an active device that plugs in and makes that conversion for you. You also mentioned needing a brake controller. You do not seem to be super knowledgeable about these connectsion Try going to an RV dealer that sells 5th wheel trailers and have them hook up a brake controller and 7 pin connector for you. You will be money ahead and have a lot safer vehicle.

Far as I know all utility trailers with the flat 3 wire plus ground wire use the stop light as a the turn signal. The other side of the bulb is for the park or running lights. I should have posted this in the Damon section. People there may be more super knowledgeable about what the picture shows. Also I believe that almost all newer model Motor Homes are prewired for a trailer brake control system. The wiring attachment is located generally above the steering column and runs to the rear of the coach. The only problem is having the right adapter wire from the controller to the coach.
