Electric Blind Fell, Wire Broke

Hey All,

Driving down the road, one of the blinds decided to take a nose dive. In the process, the wire that runs to it broke off right at the edge of the motor so that there is no wire exposed to where I could splice.

I looked online for the Somfy LT 28-A73 and I am seeing prices in the $200+ range. The blind is starting to look ratty and there is no way I am going to invest that kind of money in an old blind.

So my question is, can this motor be taken apart (if so, how) to where I can access the terminals to be able to rewire?

I guess my next question is, assuming the motor can't be rewired, what are others doing? I am seriously considering slowly replacing my motorized blinds with manual blinds, as ea of the electric blinds dies.

Roller motors look like they are crimped together. Someone did share getting into one . Been a while. They probably used dremel tool to remove enough metal to break the crimp.. I would think the blind material should be replaceable as well.
