Electric front shades???

My wife really dislikes the front pull around curtains and I admit they don't seem to be the originals and certainly need a wash job. Question is, can electric shades be added to a coach? Obtainable where?

Because of the TV cabinet dip in a linear line accross front, there would probably have to be an installation of tree separate shades for front plus one down each side. Anyone seen this done? Need to make DW happy and don't think just a wash of curtains is going to be the best answer....but possibly the only one really available.

Electric Shades

Yes, it can be done. Had my previous coach done. Took 12V power from behind the TV to use two shades with a remote. The shades were from Carefree, I believe. Very useful, especially driving west in the late afternoon.

I've seen some with three shades across the front, all electrically operated.

Have you thought about installing new curtains with a motor system to deploy them? Shades are nice but will not completely block the view inside the Motorhome from the outside.

Good point. I really believe her major concern is when the two curtains come together they are a pain to connect since one side has this big flap about 20x20 attached. This flap is what makes me think the curtains are generic and not particularly for this rv. Just not sure what the flap would have been for. New clean curtains with a more generous length might be worth the investment with possibly the addition of velcro or snaps to connect (taking the place of her clothespins). If I can find a good seamtress and fabric shop I might come up with solution taking what I have as a guide. We could do without curtains in the month of December.
Thanks. Bill

Having the curtains custom made should be fairly easy. My old Motorhome had them. There are motorized curtain tracks to attach them to. Hope you can make the wife happy.......
